Ce coffret a été offert aux responsables d’ateliers monétaires à l’occasion du centenaire de la Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke A.G. qui fournit des flans monétaires depuis un siècle. Oure la série de neuf pièces 1971 en frappes d’épreuve le coffret contient une klippe en or au centre de laquelle est frappé, si ce n’est avec les coins d’origine en tout cas avec une copie parfaite, une 10 pfennig de 1873, pour la frappe de laquelle la VDM fournit les flans de laiton à l’époque.
This box was presented to mint managers on the occasion of the centenary of the Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG, which has been supplying coin blanks for a century. Outside the series of nine 1971 proof coins, the box contains a gold klippe in the center of which is struck, if not with the original dies then certainly with a perfect copy, a 10 pfennig from 1873, for the minting of which the VDM supplied the brass blanks at the time.
