Le type de l’homme sauvage pourrait ici s’apparenter au personnage mythique d’Hercule. Il est intéressant de noter ici les décors de bordure de ce méreau à compte anépigraphe ; les annelets semblent inspirer des globules des méreaux à compte lombards et italiens tandis que les quintefeuilles particularisent souvent avec les lis des méreaux à compte angevins de Naples.
The wild man type here could be related to the mythical character of Hercules. It is interesting to note here the border decorations of this anepigraphic merlon; the annulets seem to inspire the globules of Lombard and Italian merlons while the cinquefoils often stand out with the lilies of the Angevin merlons of Naples
