Sur cet exemplaire l’épigraphie est très élégante, les lettres larges, les légendes parfaitement lisibles. Le style du portrait et du revers sont complètement différents. Une attribution à Ecbatane est possible.

(123-88 v. Chr.)
Mithridates II., einer der größten parthischen Könige, ist der Sohn von Artabane I. (127-124 n. Chr.). Er begann mit der Wiederherstellung der Macht der Parther in Mesopotamien und legte die Grenze am Euphrat fest. Er musste den Kampf gegen die Skythen fortsetzen und machte Sakastan zu einem Protektorat. Er festigte seine Position in Kleinasien und intervenierte in Armenien, um das parthische Protektorat aufrechtzuerhalten. Doch die letzten Jahre seiner Herrschaft waren von zahlreichen Usurpationen geprägt. Er wurde von Gotarzes I (95-80 n. Chr.) eliminiert..
