Beschreibung Rückseite Croix latine sur trois degrés, accostée de II et d’un V retourné, dans un grènetis intérieur.

Ce triens semble complètement inédit. La typologie est relativement courante pour les triens, mais les légendes ne correspondent à rien de connu. Le style fait penser aux triens de Marseille et aux premiers triens de Chalon-sur-Saône, sans y correspondre exactement. Les lettres V II de part et d’autre de la croix peuvent être une dégénérescence du MA de Marseille ou du VII pour sept siliques. Le nom de l’atelier est hors flan au droit, mais le monétaire est clairement identifier (avec l’initiale incertaine) CORTEGOVIS FIT. Ce nom de monétaire n’est malheureusement pas répertorié.
Dans l’état actuel ne nos connaissances, il est difficile d’attribuer ce triens à un quelconque atelier bien que ce type de monnayage corresponde plutôt à la vallée du Rhône ou plus largement au quart sud-est.
This triens seems completely new. The typology is relatively common for triens, but the legends do not correspond to anything known. The style is reminiscent of the triens of Marseille and the first triens of Chalon-sur-Saône, without corresponding exactly. The letters V II on either side of the cross may be a degeneration of the MA of Marseille or of the VII for seven siliquae. The name of the mint is off-flan on the obverse, but the mint is clearly identified (with the uncertain initial) CORTEGOVIS FIT. This mint name is unfortunately not recorded. In the current state of our knowledge, it is difficult to attribute this triens to any mint, although this type of coinage corresponds rather to the Rhône Valley or more broadly to the southeastern quarter
