Exemplaire avec une petite tête stylisée, différentes des têtes qui ornent habituellement le droit de ces oboles. Les légendes sont complètes, bien que celle du droit soit difficilement visible.

Historischer Hintergrund
GALLEIN - CABELLIO - CAVAILLON
(1. Jahrhundert v. Chr.)
Als Stadt des Cavares-Stammes, unter dem Einfluss von Marseille, befreite sich Cavaillon nach dem Fall von Marseille im Jahr 49 v. Chr. von der Aufsicht der Massalioten. Zwischen 44 und 42 v. Chr. deuteten Funde auf eine Neugründung durch Lepidus hin. Am 29. Mai 43 v. Chr. vereinte er seine Streitkräfte in Gallien mit denen von Marc-Antoine. Er bildete mit Octave und Marc Antoine das zweite Triumvirat. Möglicherweise erhielt die Stadt 23 v. Chr. von Augustus das „ius latinum“. Quellen: Strabo (G. IV, 1).
