Les pièces SCANCOIN & EUROCOIN ont été fabriquées pour les entreprises du même nom, pour tester leurs appareils (trieuses, monnayeurs etc.) juste avant le passage à l’ Euro. Le mise en place de la nouvelle monnaie impliquant pour celles-ci de mettre leurs machines aux normes.

The SCANCOIN & EUROCOIN coins were manufactured for the companies of the same name, to test their equipment (sorters, coin changers, etc.) just before the transition to the Euro. The introduction of the new coin meant that they had to bring their machines up to standard. This coin is not a test coin, but rather a token from the Monnaie de Paris.
