Le denier B. 3750 (de la collection d’Amécourt) est classé en denier anonyme de Redonis, Rennes en Ile-et-Vilaine ; cette attribution fantaisiste n’est absolument pas justifiée. Cet exemplaire y est décrit comme ayant un personnage entre deux monogrammes au droit (?). Notre monnaie, proche ou identique du B. 5780, tient plutôt une longue croix de chaque main.
D. M. Metcalf précise au sujet des monnaies de cette série W qu’un corpus a été publié, avec illustrations, par Blackburn and Bonser, dans “Sceattas in England and on the Continent”, p. 235.
The denier B. 3750 (from the Amécourt collection) is classified as an anonymous denier of Redonis, Rennes in Ile-et-Vilaine; this fanciful attribution is absolutely not justified. This example is described as having a character between two monograms on the obverse (?). Our coin, close to or identical to B. 5780, rather holds a long cross in each hand.
