Konsecration des Constantinus II, des Constans und des Constantius II
Konstantin wird während seiner Regierungszeit allmählich christenfreundlich. Gemeinsam mit Licinius verkündete er erstmals im Jahr 313 die Religionsfreiheit durch das Reskript von Mailand. Lactantius, verantwortlich für die Erziehung von Crispus, machte Konstantins Traum am Tag vor der Schlacht an der Milvischen Brücke zu einer christlichen Prophezeiung. Dennoch wurde Konstantin erst auf seinem Sterbebett in Nikomedia am 22. Mai 337 getauft. Er war der letzte Kaiser, der nach seinem Tod vergöttert wurde..
