Par rapport à la position de la queue du taureau, il semble évident que le taureau charge à droite ! Cette association d'une tête à gauche et d'un taureau à droit est l'une des plus rare de ce monnayage britannique en potin.

Historischer Hintergrund
CANTII - CANTIENS (Area of the Kent)
(1. Jahrhundert v. Chr.)
Die ersten Erwähnungen der Cantii stammen aus dem Ende des 2. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. Sie gaben Kent ihren Namen. In enger Verbindung mit dem Kontinent begann die Münzprägung in den ersten Jahren des 1. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. Caesar betrachtete sie als das am weitesten entwickelte Volk der Insel Britannien (BG. V, 13 und 14). Während seines Feldzugs in Großbritannien hatte Caesar gegen Casivellaunus gekämpft, der Boten zu den vier Königen geschickt hatte, die damals in Kent regierten (BG, V, 22). Dubnovellaunos, zitiert mit Tincommius, war ein Klientelkönig von Rom zur Zeit des Augustus, zitiert in den Res Gestæ (RG. XXXII)..
