Exemplaire sur un flan légèrement ovale. Portrait magnifique. Légèrement décentré au revers sur la légende. Flan très légèrement fendu à 2 heures au revers. Très jolie patine avec des reflets mordorés

Svoronos avait relevé douze exemplaires pour cette variété dans son corpus. Dans le trésor de Meydancikkale, il y avait 35 tétradrachmes de ce type, mais en mauvais état avec de nombreuses contremarques et incisions. Petite cassure de coin perceptible devant le nez. Un graffiti devant le visage.
Svoronos had identified twelve examples of this variety in his corpus. In the Meydancikkale hoard, there were 35 tetradrachms of this type, but in poor condition with numerous countermarks and incisions. A small die break is visible in front of the nose. Graffiti in front of the face.

Historischer Hintergrund
ÄGYPTEN - PTOLEMÄISCHES KÖNIGREICH ÄGYPTEN - PTOLEMAIOS II PHILADELPHOS
(285-246 v. Chr.)
Ptolemaios II. trat im Jahr 283 v. Chr. die Nachfolge seines Vaters an, war jedoch bereits vor diesem Datum mit der Wirtschaft verbunden. Er heiratete 288 v. Chr. Arsinoe, die Tochter des Lysimachos, und heiratete 276 v. Chr. seine zweite Frau, seine Schwester Arsinoe II. Als Tochter von Ptolemaios I. und Berenike hatte sie nacheinander Lysimachos und dann Ptolemaios Ceraunos, ihren Halbbruder, geheiratet und wurde mit der Göttin Hathor vergöttert, als sie 271 v. Chr. starb. Ptolemaios gab eine wichtige Münzrestitution heraus, um an sein Andenken zu erinnern. In den letzten 25 Jahren seines Lebens vollendete Ptolemaios II. den Leuchtturm von Alexandria.
