On notera deux particularités de cet exemplaire. Tout d’abord les coins ont été mal polis et les champs présentent donc d’infimes rayures en relief. Ensuite le listel est tout à fait hors norme, présentant à l’intérieur des sortes de créneaux. Ceux-ci étant très peu visibles (sauf à la loupe) il semble peu probable qu’ils correspondent à une recherche esthétique et nous n’avons pas d’explication.

Then the rim is completely unusual, presenting inside a sort of crenellation. These being very barely visible (except with a magnifying glass) it seems unlikely that they correspond to an aesthetic research and we have no explanation

Historischer Hintergrund
MAROC SOUS PROTECTORAT FRANÇAIS
(1912-1956)
Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts öffnete sich Marokko für den europäischen Handel. Das Land blieb im 19. Jahrhundert zwischen französischem Einfluss (Bombardierung von Tanger und Mogador), britischem und spanischem Einfluss gespalten und wurde zum Teil der Rivalität seiner Mächte, der sich 1905 Deutschland anschloss. Der Vorfall von Agadir im Jahr 1911 wird durch die geregelt Verhandlungen zwischen Frankreich und Deutschland, die das französische Protektorat über Marokko gegenüber einem Gebietsstreifen im Kongo akzeptieren. Lyautey, residierender General, befriedet das Land, während der Hohe Atlas bis 1934 Widerstand leistet. Nach umfangreichen Arbeiten verändert sich das Land schnell, aber Frankreich erzwingt zunehmend seine direkte Verwaltung, ohne das Protektorat zu berücksichtigen. Der Nationalismus gewann dann weiter an Boden und die Niederlage von 1940 führte zu immer größeren Demonstrationen..
