La série II avec 3 globules et un annelet est classique pour les drachmes dites “à la tête négroïde”. Cet exemplaire a une particularité inédite d’avoir un annelet pointé au premier canton. Cette variante semble manquer à tous les ouvrages publiés et aucun exemplaire de la collection Savès ne présentait cette caractéristique !
Techniquement, cette drachme montre l’empreinte du bord d’un flan circulaire, au droit comme au revers ; elle n’a donc pas été frappée avec un coin de droit à empreintes multiples.
Series II with 3 globules and an annulet is classic for drachmas called “with a Negroid head”. This example has the unique feature of having a pointed annulet in the first canton. This variant seems to be missing from all published works and no example in the Savès collection had this characteristic! Technically, this drachma shows the imprint of the edge of a circular flan, on the obverse as well as on the reverse; it was therefore not struck with a multiple-imprint obverse die
