Ce type de potin semble se diviser en plusieurs variétés, selon qu'il y ait ou pas un torque qui entoure l'arrière du crâne, et éventuellement selon la présence du globule entre les jambes du cheval. Cet exemplaire a bien le torque derrière la tête au droit et un gros globule entre les jambes du cheval au revers, comme sur le DT. 2652.

Historischer Hintergrund
GALLIEN - SENONES (Region die Sens)

Die Sénons, deren Name die Weisen oder Ältesten bedeutet, kontrollierten ein riesiges Gebiet, das sich zwischen dem Süden der Champagne und dem Norden Burgunds erstreckte. Ihr wichtigstes Oppidum war Agedincum (Sens), das noch heute den Namen der antiken Civitas trägt. Sie hatten mehrere andere Oppida wie Auxerre, Tonnerre oder Avallon. Divona scheint das Hauptheiligtum der Senonen gewesen zu sein. Caesar hatte 53 v. Chr. sechs seiner Legionen in Agedincum überwintert. Labienus, Caesars Leutnant und Legat, ließ sich in der Sens-Region zwischen Gergovie und Alesia nieder, um die Straßen zu kontrollieren und Caesars Armeen vor einem Angriff der Belgier oder Deutschen zu schützen.
