Coin-card de la Monnaie Royale des Pays-Bas contenant la 5 Euro “400 ans de relations diplomatiques entre les Pays-Bas et la Turquie”.
Cornelis Haga (1578-1654), arrivé à Istanbul en 1612, fut le premier ambassadeur “hollandais” auprès de l’Empire ottoman.
2012 est l’année de la célébration des 400 ans de relations diplomatiques entre les Pays-Bas et la Turquie, année marquée par plusieurs manifestations, expositions et visites d’Etat.
La tulipe, emblème des Pays-Bas fut importée de l’Empire ottoman au XVIIème siècle.
