La classe IV reprend les même types que que la classe III, sans les petit annelets secondaire devant le visage, mais d’un style de plus en plus mauvais et sur des flans qui s'élargissent énormément. Mais le coin, particulièrement de droit, s’élargit encore plus, d’où des types souvent très incomplets.

Historischer Hintergrund
GALLIEN - BELGICA - PAGUS CATUSLUGI - Das Heiligtum des BOIS L'ABBÉ (Seine-Maritime)
(1. Jahrhundert v. Chr.)
Bereits 1977 brachte S. Scheers die Idee einer Prägung von Pagus für den Typ VIIRICIVS (op. cit. S. 129-130) zum Ausdruck, der an die Funde des Heiligtums von Bois l'Abbé in Eu (Seine-Maritime) erinnert ) (LPD. S. 32-45), wo 161 Stücke der 4 Klassen entdeckt und analysiert wurden. Bei diesen in großen Mengen gefundenen Münzen handelte es sich zweifellos um Bargeld mit regionaler Ausrichtung (LPD. 1984, S. 65-92). Eine 1965 an dieser Stelle in der Nähe des Theaters gefundene Gedenktafel erinnert an einen Pagus Catuslugi, der bereits von Plinius erwähnt wurde (HN. IV, 31)..
