Feuardent publie un commentaire sur cet étrange ANO qui débute la légende et suggère que ce pourrait être l’abréviation d’ANOnyme car le Duc de Berry n’aurait été baptisé (dans l’Ordre ?) qu’à cinq ans donc après la frappe de ce jeton. On peut noter deux autres incongruités, l’orthographe de BERY et la présence de deux points juxtaposés après ANO, sans explication..
Feuardent published a commentary on this strange ANO that begins the legend and suggests that it could be the abbreviation of ANOnyme because the Duke of Berry was not baptized (into the Order?) until he was five years old, i.e., after the minting of this token. Two other incongruities can be noted: the spelling of BERY and the presence of two dots juxtaposed after ANO, without explanation.
