Coffret présente une plaque de Clodion et 9 matrices ou ébauches de matrice.
La plaque, en acier, fait 280 sur 151 mm, pour un poids de 2,45kg. La plaque est signée CLODION, pour Claude Michel (1738-1814) et présente un jeune enfant assis sur le dos d’un chien, tiré par des faunes au moyen d’une guirlande de feuillages et également poussé par deux faunes. Arbres de part et d’autre de la scène. La plaque est numérotée 202 à l’exergue. Quelques taches d’oxydation sont visibles.
Sur un plateau rouge sont présentées 9 matrices ou ébauches de matrice.
