Les auteurs du Nouvel Atlas ont bien distingué les différentes variantes du monnayage namnète, selon le métal et les types de droits et de revers. Avec ce type de tête large, ce statère correspond au DT. 2196 de la Série 308B.

GALLIEN - NAMNETES (Region die Nantes)
(2. – 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr.)
Das Armorica-Volk, die Namnètes, wurde an der Mündung der Loire angesiedelt, deren Verlauf sie von den Pictons trennte. Ihr Name wird von dem der Stadt Nantes übernommen. Ihre maritime Rolle scheint wichtig gewesen zu sein und sie beteiligten sich an den Operationen gegen die Römer im Jahr 56 v. Chr. und unterstützten die venezianische Flotte. Zu den Venetern zählt Strabo den Zinnhafen Corbilo. Caesar (BG. III, 9). Strabo (G. IV, 2, 1).
