Rare et intéressant jeton avec une représentation de l’amphithéâtre de chirurgie de Toulouse. La Martinière est né à Argenton-les-Deux-Rivières (actuellement Argenton-l’Église, Deux-Sèvres). Il fut premier Chirugien du roi et pendant sa longue carrière il a contribué à la création de nombreuses écoles de chirurgie en province, notamment à Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Orléans, Nantes et Rouen.
Rare and interesting token with a representation of the surgical amphitheater of Toulouse. La Martinière was born in Argenton-les-Deux-Rivières (now Argenton-l'Église, Deux-Sèvres). He was the first King's Surgeon and during his long career he contributed to the creation of numerous surgical schools in the provinces, notably in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Orléans, Nantes and Rouen
