(323-316 v. Chr.)
Münzen im namen des Alexander III der Grosse
Philipp, Sohn Philipps II. und Halbbruder Alexanders, war nicht ganz bei Verstand. Nach dem Tod des Eroberers und angesichts der mangelnden Macht wurde er zum König ernannt, um die Fiktion der Einheit des Reiches aufrechtzuerhalten, doch in Wirklichkeit hatte er keine Macht. Er wurde auf Betreiben von Olympias, Alexanders Mutter, im Jahr 316 v. Chr. ermordet.
