Ce jeton ne peut en aucun cas avoir été frappé à la Monnaie de Paris et si le style et l’inspiration sont indiscutablement français, le coin de droit est une copie et le revers est ancien de forme. Techniquement la gravure n’est pas optimale et nous devons par commodité l’attribuer à Nuremberg même si le style est bien meilleur que les productions standards de l’atelier allemand. La signature I.B. pour Jean Le Blanc est apocryphe et les lettres de la légende ne sont pas faites au poinçon mais gravées manuellement et sont irrégulières. On peut penser qu’il s’agit d’une production privée .
This token can in no case have been struck at the Paris Mint and if the style and inspiration are indisputably French, the obverse die is a copy and the reverse is old in shape. Technically the engraving is not optimal and we must for convenience attribute it to Nuremberg even if the style is much better than the standard productions of the German mint. The signature IB for Jean Le Blanc is apocryphal and the letters of the legend are not made with a punch but manually engraved and are irregular. We can think that it is a private production
