Historischer Hintergrund
LANGUEDOC - COMTÉ DE SAINT-GILLES - ALPHONSE JOURDAIN
(1112-1148)
Alphonse Jourdain trat die Nachfolge von Bertrand als Graf von Toulouse an und war auch Graf von Saint-Gilles. Nach seinem Tod wurde Alfons II. schnell durch Raymond V. (1148–1194) ersetzt. Alphonse Jourdain, der Sohn von Raymond IV. von Saint-Gilles, wollte die Grafschaft Tripolis von Guillaume II. (1137-1152), seinem Neffen, Enkel von Bertrand und Halbbruder von Alphonse, zurückerobern, starb jedoch 1148 in Cäsarea des Libanon während des zweiten Kreuzzugs (1147-1149).
