- Athanase, qui suit ;
- Auguste - Charles - Henri,
- Nicolas Chuppin.

In the Universal Dictionary of the Nobility of France by Jean Baptiste Pierre Jullien de Courcelles, as digitized by Google, we find a study on the family of our character: CHUPPIN De GERMIGNY; family originating from Champagne. Jean Chuppin, born in Paris around 1572, was alderman of this capital in 1639. There is a medal from 1640, on which we see on one side the coat of arms of Chuppin, with the exergue: Jn. Chuppin. , alderman-general receiver of the poor in Paris; on the other, we see the arms of the city, with the exergue: Urbis et fori pauperum tuela. The portrait of Jean Chuppin was at the Town Hall.
We also find in this family: Jean Chuppin, notary at the châtelet of Paris, was elected alderman of this city in 1684, and Nicolas Chuppin in 1686.
Jean Chuppin's son had nineteen children. One of his children, named Pierre Chuppin, is the author of the Chuppin de Germigny, the only existing branch.
Pierre-Nicolas Chuppin, Viscount of Germigny, son of Pierre, served in the Musketeers of the King's Guard, and allied himself, in 1731, with Mademoiselle de Neuvilly. He died in 1769, leaving two daughters and a son.
Jean-Nicolas Chuppin, squire, advisor to the King in his châtelet of Paris, administrator of the college of Louis-le-Grand, married Jeanne Lebeau, daughter of the famous academician, author of the history of the Late Empire. From this marriage came: - Athanase, who follows; - Auguste - Charles - Henri, - Nicolas Chuppin.
Both supernumeraries of the bodyguards of King Athanase Chuppin De Germigny, knight, advisor to the royal court of Amiens, former bodyguard of the King, lieutenant-colonel of cavalry, is knight of the royal and military order of Saint Louis and of the royal order of the Legion of Honor.
Another branch of this family produced three treasurers-general of the gold mark of the Order of the Holy Spirit, a captain of carabiniers, then ordinary gentleman of the King's chamber.. She allied herself with the families of Gallois, the judge of Bouzonville, Roland, Voysin, Verrier, Quentin, Oursel, Mouffle de Champigny and the Coûteux.
The Officers of the Gold Mark having been abolished, by the aedile of January 1720, the King granted Nicolas-Augustin Chuppin a patent and letters of honor and veterancy to wear the cross of the order of St. -Spirit, his life during, in consideration of the services rendered to the order, by his father and by him, for 34 years.
The arms of the Chuppin de Germigny: gold, with an azure chevron, surmounted by a gules star, and accompanied in chief by two crescents of the same, and in base by a sinople pine tree.
The second branch bore: gold, with an azure chevron, surmounted by a gules crescent, and accompanied in chief by two stars of the same, and in base by a sinople pine tree flanked by two pine cones of the same
