Très bel exemplaire frappé sur un flan très large, avec les types complets et de très beaux reliefs mis en valeur par une agréable patine brillante

La main coupée se retrouve en cantonnement de certaines monnaies dites "à la croix" mais aussi sur les statères attribués aux Pictons ; sur cet exemplaire elle est complète et particulièrement nette !
Cet exemplaire a une légende bien visible à l’exergue.

SPANIEN - IBERICO - CASTULO/KASTILO (Provinz des Jaen/Calzona)
(2. und 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr.)
Die Münzprägung von Kastilo war sehr wichtig und dauerte bis in die augusteische Zeit. Wir haben eine Art Währungssystem mit Assen, Semis und Quadrans. Der Standort dieses Workshops ist Calzona Linares in der Provinz Jaén. Der Ortsname ist in iberischen Schriftzeichen geschrieben.
