Cette monnaie au nom de saint Étienne se réfère à la cathédrale de Besançon. Ce type à la main bénissante sera repris jusqu'a la fin du Moyen-Âge sur les monnaies de l'archevêché de Besançon. Le poids assez léger de cet exemplaire, 0,93 g, permet de proposer une datation vers la fin du XIe siècle.
