Anthony Dollar, the US Mint launched this new type. Gold in color, this coin is easily identifiable. However, the surface deteriorates fairly quickly, and once again, this coin was a failure. Note that following the dollarization of the coin in Ecuador, the Sacagawea dollar is now widely circulated in that country.
