Bâti en 1776, le Fort McHenry est un fort côtier défendant la Baie de Baltimore. Il devint célèbre lors de la Guerre de 1812. Pendant 25 heures, la flotte britannique bombarda le fort qui résista et évita ainsi la prise de Baltimore..
Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting the national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. Built in 1776, Fort McHenry is a coastal fort defending Baltimore Bay. It became famous during the War of 1812. For 25 hours, the British fleet bombarded the fort, which resisted, thus preventing the capture of Baltimore.
