Très fine cassure de coin avant le premier I de II. Sur cet exemplaire, on distingue, au droit, les restes de l’effigie de Cérès avec notamment le creux de l’oreille et la mèche ainsi que la lettre F de FRANÇAISE. Au revers, on peut lire quelques lettres du mot FRANCS dont AN et trois chiffres du millésime 1871 (871). Il ne peut donc s’agir que d’une pièce de 2 francs type F.264 ou F.265. Notons que la tranche a été décannelée puisqu’elle est lisse. Par ailleurs notre exemplaire est tréflé au niveau des légendes du revers. On voit, quasiment à l’oeil nu, le mot FRANÇAIS et le chiffre 7 du millésime.

On this example, we can see, on the obverse, the remains of the effigy of Ceres, notably the hollow of the ear and the lock of hair as well as the letter F of FRANÇAISE. On the reverse, we can read a few letters of the word FRANCS including AN and three numbers of the year 1871 (871). It can therefore only be a 2 franc coin type F.264 or F.265. Note that the edge has been decanted since it is smooth. Furthermore, our example is trefoiled at the level of the legends on the reverse. We can see, almost with the naked eye, the word FRANÇAIS and the number 7 of the year
