Médaille en étain au nom du député Jacques Alexandre Bixio député du Doubs. Il naquit le 20 novembre 1808 à Chiavarri (Italie) et décéda le 16 décembre 1865 à Paris. Il fut élu après la Révolution de 1848 et siégea en tant que député du Doubs à l’Assemblée nationale constituante du 23 avril 1848 au 26 mai 1849. Il fut réélu en 1849 et siégea de nouveau du 13 mai 1849 au 2 décembre 1851, mais opposé à Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte il se retira de la politique et fut l’un des représentant qui se rendit dans la Mairie du Xe arrondissement pour prononcer la déchéance du prince-président. Il siégeait à gauche sur les bancs de l’Assemblée. Cette médaille en étain n’est pas l’exemplaire qui a été remis à Bixio. Il pourrait s’agit d’un exemplaire gardé à l’Assemblée nationale en cas de contrôle lors des entrées afin de pouvoir le comparer avec l’exemplaire donné à Bixio ou alors d’un moulage postérieur.
Pewter medal in the name of the deputy Jacques Alexandre Bixio, deputy of Doubs. He was born on November 20, 1808 in Chiavarri (Italy) and died on December 16, 1865 in Paris. He was elected after the Revolution of 1848 and sat as deputy of Doubs in the National Constituent Assembly from April 23, 1848 to May 26, 1849. He was re-elected in 1849 and sat again from May 13, 1849 to December 2, 1851, but opposed to Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte he retired from politics and was one of the representatives who went to the Town Hall of the 10th arrondissement to pronounce the forfeiture of the prince-president. He sat on the left on the benches of the Assembly. This pewter medal is not the example that was given to Bixio. This could be a example kept at the National Assembly in case of checks during admissions in order to be able to compare it with the example given to Bixio or a later cast.
