La Société Anonyme de la Grande Comore est fondée par le botaniste et naturaliste Léon Humblot (1852-1914) qui a signé un traité avec le sultan Said Ali bin Said Omar. Cette société coloniale a la mainmise sur l’économie de l’île. Humblot était surnommé le “sultan blanc”.

The Société Anonyme de la Grande Comore was founded by botanist and naturalist Léon Humblot (1852-1914), who signed a treaty with Sultan Said Ali bin Said Omar. This colonial company controlled the island's economy. Humblot was nicknamed the \\\"white sultan.\\\" This lot includes a 1-franc coin and a 2-franc coin.
