Bien que non référencés dans l’ouvrage de Monsieur Gilbert Bou Fayssal, l’auteur à réussit à les identifier et à les attribuer sans aucun doute à la Villa Hôtel Aouiss. Il s’agit donc bien de jetons utilisés au Casino du Villa Hôtel Aouiss et qui pouvaient être également utilisés au café ou restaurant du même Villa Hôtel Aouiss.
Le villa Hôtel Aouiss était situé à Aley au Liban. Aley est une bourgade du Mont Liban située à 830 mètres d’altitude, près de Bhamdoun, situé à 17 km de Beyrouth. La ville d’Aley s’est développée à la fin du XIXème avec l’arrivée du chemin de fer reliant Beyrouth à Damas, passant par Aley. Aley était une destination touristique majeure au Liban, son emplacement et son climat en fait un lieu privilégié. Cette station balnéaire pourvue d’une majestueux casino demeurait un endroit particulièrement apprécié des habitants fortunés des pays du Golfe. Jusqu’en 1975, quelques riches stations balnéaires du Liban avaient l’autorisation d’ouvrir des casinos privés. Aujourd’hui, l’activité des jeux d’argent est géré exclusivement par l’Etat libanais.
On retrouve des informations concernant le Villa Hôtel Aouiss (ou Oueiss) dans le célèbre guide vert publié en 1947. Nous constatons que cet hotel connu sa période de prospérité avant le début de la guerre civile en 1975. On peut lire notamment : “Pendant l’été, la population de la ville [Aley] augmente dans des proportions considérables. Le Président de la République Libanaise y a sa résidence d’été. On y trouve à Aley de nombreux hôtels-casinos de 1er ordre.” (Sources : M. Wissam Lahham).

Although not referenced in Mr. Gilbert Bou Fayssal's work, the author managed to identify them and attribute them without any doubt to the Villa Hôtel Aouiss.. These are therefore tokens used at the Casino of the Villa Hotel Aouiss and which could also be used at the café or restaurant of the same Villa Hotel Aouiss..
The Villa Hotel Aouiss was located in Aley, Lebanon. Aley is a town in Mount Lebanon located at an altitude of 830 meters, near Bhamdoun, 17 km from Beirut.. The town of Aley developed at the end of the 19th century with the arrival of the railway linking Beirut to Damascus, passing through Aley.. Aley was a major tourist destination in Lebanon, its location and climate made it a privileged place. This seaside resort with its majestic casino remained a particularly popular place for wealthy residents of the Gulf countries.. Until 1975, a few wealthy seaside resorts in Lebanon were allowed to open private casinos.. Today, gambling activity is managed exclusively by the Lebanese state..
Information about the Villa Hôtel Aouiss (or Oueiss) can be found in the famous green guide published in 1947. We note that this hotel enjoyed its period of prosperity before the start of the civil war in 1975. It reads: “During the summer, the population of the town [Aley] increases in considerable proportions. The President of the Lebanese Republic has his summer residence there..
