Il y a tout lieu de penser que cette émission commémore à sa manière la mort de Geta : elle est rigoureusement identique de style et de graveur à celle aux deux étoiles, sauf que celles-ci ne sont plus présentes dans les champs. L’équivalent n’existant pas pour Geta, qui termine sa carrière numismatique à Antioche avec l’émission aux deux étoiles (Prieur 213), on doit donc classer notre émission de Caracalla sans étoiles après celle-ci, et donc après la mort de Geta.
C’est une émission assez importante, d’excellent style très fin, où l’empereur a encore un visage avenant. Bientôt, les graveurs ne manqueront plus une seule ride ou moue sur l’effigie du fratricide.
Les frappes de ce groupe se caractérisent, outre par les styles d’avers et de revers, par le changement de la légende de revers, qui passe de TO gamma à TOC. TO. gamma.
On note que les sigma sont gravés en C.
