Le Feuardent, qui décrit très exactement ce jeton, ne le fait que comme essai en étain et ne semble pas avoir disposé de la frappe définitive en argent.
L'ingénieur concepteur du Canal du centre est Émiland Gauthey (+ 1806), natif de Chalon-sur-Saône, ingénieur en chef des États de Bourgogne.

The Feuardent, which describes this token very accurately, only gives it as a tin test and does not seem to have had the definitive silver strike. The design engineer of the Canal du Centre was Émiland Gauthey (+ 1806), born in Chalon-sur-Saône, chief engineer of the States of Burgundy.
