Cette monnaie est une imitation des esterlins anglais. Les esterlins et leurs imitations ont été particulièrement étudiés par N. J. Mayhew, Sterling imitations of Edwardian type, Londres, 1983. Il existe des exemplaires avec deux points avant le G du droit (Mayhew, n° 15-17, p. 32-33).
