Monnaie sur un flan large, avec un droit bien centré mais un revers décalé sur a gauche. Frappe vigoureuse, sur un flan de très bas aloi, avec une surface hétérogène, très granuleuse

Comme la monnaie bmv_321970, ce triens présente une typologie qui permet de proposer une attribution à la région messine. Le métal très blanc, fortement chargé en argent, pourrait être le signe d’une datation tardive.
Si le Belfort ne mentionne aucune monnaie avec BARRO VICO, plusieurs monnaies y sont publiées comme ayant été frappée au Château de Bar (BARRO CASTRO, arrondissement de Tulle en Corrèze). Ces trois monnaie B. 797-799 sont d’une typologie qui n’a rien à voir avec notre monnaie.
Le Stahl ne recense aucune monnaie avec cet atelier pourtant si nettement lisible sur cet exemplaire. Cette monnaie semble néanmoins complètement inédite !.
Like the coin bmv_321970, this triens presents a typology that allows us to propose an attribution to the Metz region. The very white metal, heavily loaded with silver, could be the sign of a late dating. If the Belfort does not mention any coin with BARRO VICO, several coins are published there as having been minted at the Château de Bar (BARRO CASTRO, district of Tulle in Corrèze). These three coins B. 797-799 are of a typology that has nothing to do with our coin. The Stahl does not list any coin with this mint, yet it is so clearly legible on this example. This coin nevertheless seems completely new!
