Les deniers avec ce monogramme AV au droit sont relativement courants, mais associés à des revers variés. Un exemplaire comparable à celui proposé ici figurait dans la collection de Saulcy, vente Cahn 79, n° 1186, mais mal orienté. Le monogramme cruciforme était d'ailleurs pris pour le droit ; à défaut de connaître la signification des deux monogrammes, il est difficile de distinguer le droit du revers.
Coins with this AV monogram on the obverse are relatively common, but are associated with varied reverses. A example comparable to the one offered here was in the Saulcy collection, Cahn 79 sale, no. 1186, but poorly oriented. The cruciform monogram was also taken for the obverse; without knowing the meaning of the two monograms, it is difficult to distinguish the obverse from the reverse.
