Nachdem die Vandalen Spanien durchquert hatten, ließen sie sich nach und nach in Afrika nieder. Sie eroberten Karthago im Jahr 430. Die Präsenz der Vandalen in Afrika wird ein Jahrhundert dauern, bis Belisar, General von Justinian I., Karthago erobert.
