Daniel Jeanrichard, dit Bressel (La Sagne, 1665 - Le Locle, 20 avril 1741) est un horloger suisse considéré comme le fondateur de l'industrie horlogère dans le Jura. Si son existence historique est hors de doute, en revanche la question de son importance et de son rôle exact reste irrésolue. Figure tutélaire de l'industrie horlogère neuchâteloise, Daniel Jeanrichard est rapidement mythifié.
Daniel Jeanrichard, known as Bressel (La Sagne, 1665 - Le Locle, April 20, 1741) is a Swiss watchmaker considered the founder of the watchmaking industry in the Jura. While his historical existence is beyond doubt, the question of his importance and his exact role remains unresolved. A tutelary figure of the Neuchâtel watchmaking industry, Daniel Jeanrichard was quickly mythologized.
