Historischer Hintergrund
SCHWEIZ - KANTON ZÜRICH
Im 18. Jahrhundert war Zürich eine Hochburg der geistigen Entwicklung, ein Zentrum literarischer und spiritueller Erneuerung. Während der Revolution wurden die Österreich-Russen zweimal geschlagen, am 4. Juni und am 25. und 26. September 1799 von General Masséna. Der Kanton Zürich ist seit 1798 Teil der Helvetischen Republik und bis 1813 Teil der Eidgenossenschaft.
