Pour sa septième pièce de 2 Euro commémorative, la République de Saint-Marin célèbre le 500ème anniversaire de la mort d’Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, dit Sandro Boticelli (1445 – 1510). Le tableau choisi par la Monnaie de Saint-Marin pour illustrer l’oeuvre du peintre florentin est “Le Printemps”, aujourd’hui conservé à la Galerie des Offices à Florence

With its seventh commemorative 2 Euro coin, the Republic of San Marino celebrates the 500th anniversary of the death of Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, known as Sandro Boticelli (1445 – 1510). The painting chosen by the Mint of San Marino to illustrate the work of the Florentine painter is “Spring”, now preserved at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence
