Louis Hesselin, maître de la chambre aux deniers en 1630, homme de grand goût, qui présidait à tous les divertissements qui se donnaient à la cour du roi Louis XIV.
On trouve au 24 quai de Béthune à Paris quelques restes de l'ancien et très bel hôtel élevé en 1641/1642 par Le Vau pour Louis Hesselin, Maître de la Chambre aux Deniers, Intendant des Plaisirs du Roi et Ordonnateur des Ballets de la Cour avec, en particulier, le portail, dont les panneaux seront sculptés par Etienne le Hongre de deux têtes de bélier.
Son successeur dans cet hôtel sera en 1669, François Molé, seigneur de Charonne, conseiller du roi, abbé de Sainte-Croix à Bordeaux. Il revendit en 1719 à un sieur Monerat lequel revendit en 1787 à d'Ambrun de Moûtalets, intendant d'Auvergne. Acheté ensuite par le sieur Brochant dont la veuve eut pour héritier Monsieur Lechanteur dont la fille épousa M. Parent-Duchâtelet qui fut l'auteur d'un ouvrage sur la prostitution. Elle fit élever l'immeuble de deux étages et compta parmi ses locataires un nonce du pape et Monsieur Loquet, maire de l'arrondissement. Il fut détruit en 1934 à la demande d'Helena Rubinstein et sera remplacé par un nouvel immeuble dessiné par Louis Süe. Le président de la République Georges Pompidou y habitera et y décèdera en 1974. Le comédien Louis de Funès y posséda un appartement.

His successor in this hotel in 1669 was François Molé, lord of Charonne, advisor to the king, abbot of Sainte-Croix in Bordeaux.. He sold it in 1719 to a Mr. Monerat who sold it in 1787 to d'Ambrun de Moûtalets, intendant of Auvergne.. Then bought by Mr. Brochant whose widow had as heir Mr. Lechanteur whose daughter married M. Parent-Duchâtelet who was the author of a work on prostitution. She had the building built two stories high and counted among its tenants a papal nuncio and Monsieur Loquet, mayor of the district.. It was destroyed in 1934 at the request of Helena Rubinstein and was replaced by a new building designed by Louis Süe.. The President of the Republic, Georges Pompidou, lived there and died there in 1974.. The actor Louis de Funès owned an apartment there.
