L’Apostle Islands National Lakeshore est une aire protégée sur la côte sud du Lac Supérieur au nord du Wisconsin. Il est composé d’un ensemble de 21 îles réputées pour ses phares anciens, ses grottes de grès et ses forêts primaires. Créé en 1970, le parc est géré par le National Park Service.
Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a protected area on the southern shore of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. It is composed of a group of 21 islands known for its ancient lighthouses, sandstone caves, and old-growth forests. Established in 1970, the park is managed by the National Park Service.
