Kommentare

Au droit, c’est bien la tête divinisée d’Alexandre le Grand divinisé sous les traits de Zus-Ammon. Ptolémée subtilisa le corps et le ramena à Alexandrie en attendant la construction de son cénotaphe (tombeau), le Phare d’Alexandrie, achevé par Ptoléme II.
On the right, it is indeed the deified head of Alexander the Great deified in the guise of Zus-Ammon. Ptolemy stole the body and brought it back to Alexandria while awaiting the construction of his cenotaph (tomb), the Pharos of Alexandria, completed by Ptolemy II.
