Frappé au rouleau. Le 1 de la date 1623 a la forme des armes de l’écu de Feckenhausen ; les lettre I et M dans les O de MONETA et de NOVA sont les initiales du maître de la monnaie. Pour le thaler il existe deux variétés pour le droit avec un R normal ou petit à SEMPER car le graveur n’avait plus de place pour terminer la légende d’avers comme sur cet exemplaire. De la même manière, au revers nous avons deux orthographes pour le W de Rottweil avec W ou VV comme sur cet exemplaire.
Roll struck. The 1 in the date 1623 has the shape of the arms of the Feckenhausen shield; the letters I and M in the O of MONETA and NOVA are the initials of the mintmaster. For the thaler there are two varieties for the obverse with a normal or small R in SEMPER because the engraver no longer had room to finish the obverse legend as on this example. Similarly, on the reverse we have two spellings for the W of Rottweil with W or VV as on this example
